Leonard Samson, better known as Doc Samson, is a Marvel Comics character. He's a psychiatrist who, through gamma radiation exposure, gained superhuman strength and durability.

Originally, Samson sought to cure Bruce Banner of his Hulk persona by siphoning off the gamma radiation that powered the transformation. The procedure worked, but the radiation transferred to Samson, giving him green, rapidly growing hair and enhanced physique. This process granted him considerable strength, though initially less than the Hulk's.

Samson uses his powers for heroic purposes, often working alongside or against the Hulk, depending on the circumstances. He is a highly intelligent and skilled psychiatrist, frequently offering counsel to other superheroes struggling with mental health issues. He is also part of Gamma Flight in later comics.

Over the years, Doc Samson's power levels have fluctuated, and he has sometimes been depicted as a villainous figure. However, he typically returns to his role as a hero and respected member of the superhero community.
